About Julia:
JULIA GREENBERG is a singer-songwriter, theater music composer, and the Director of the new documentary, Dory Previn: On My Way to Where.
Julia has performed Previn’s music at Mass MoCA, Joe’s Pub, the 92 Street Y, and on Sirius Radio and WNYC, and administers Previn’s archives.
She has released two albums of original music: Past Your Eyes (Cropduster Records) and Greenland (Umnitsa Music), both produced by James Mastro.
Julia has performed regularly in New York for the last three decades at such venues as Joe’s Pub, the Mercury Lounge, the Bowery Ballroom and elsewhere. Her music has been featured on This American Life and Ronnie Spector recorded one of her songs.
Julia co-wrote the book and co-composed the hit off-Broadway rock opera People are Wrong! with Robin Goldwasser which appeared at PS 122, the Public Theater, the Bonne Biennale and had an extended run at the Vineyard Theatre in 2004. Julia co-wrote the music for the off-Broadway play Cavedweller at New York Theater Workshop in 2004 with Stephen Trask (Hedwig and the Angry Inch).
